La photographe Christine Muraton nous fait découvrir cette série photos de scènes simplistes qu’elle transforme en contes fantastiques. Ces photographies prennent un caractère irréel, minimaliste et poétique de part l’utilisation des couleurs froides, des sujets choisis et de la lumière utilisée.
Coup de cœur pour le photographe basé à Stockholm Bjorn Terring qui parvient à capter avec talent des instants, proposant ainsi des clichés de qualité aussi bien en couleurs qu’en noir & blanc. Une série et une sélection de diverses images se dévoile sur la galerie Fubiz dans la suite de l’article.
Coup de coeur pour la série After Light par le photographe polonais Jan Kriwol. Amateur de retouches photographiques et jouant sur le contraste avec humour et talent, cette série propose de transformer l’ombre d’une silhouette en lumière, donnant ainsi une toute autre composition photographique.
L’artiste coréen Sungseok Ahn a eu l’idée de projeter sur un écran des clichés de monuments emblématiques de Séoul datant d’une autre époque et d’ainsi les confronter à une image des mêmes lieux aujourd’hui. Une façon de montrer que certains symboles traversent le temps avec ce projet « Historic Present ».
Avec « Playing », Alex Mac Lean capture tous types de terrains en plongée. Que ce soit au beau milieu désert, dans une piscine ou la mer, sur l’herbe, un terrain de parc d’attraction, un terrain de jeux sportifs, aquatiques ou terrestres : il veut montrer avec hauteur le divertissement à travers une Amérique ensoleillée.
Agé de 21 ans seulement, l’artiste français Xavier Casalta travaille sur des illustrations et typographies en pointillés tout en noir & blanc, utilisant essentiellement une pointe Isograph 0,10mm. Un rendu d’une grande qualité, avec notamment ses déclinaisons de son dernier projet ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’.
Le photographe anglais Julian Calverley nous propose des clichés panoramiques de sa capitale. Réunissant trois fichiers à chaque fois pour obtenir un rendu du plus bel effet, ces images prises au bord de la Tamise rendent hommage avec talent aux monuments londoniens. Plus de détails dans la suite.
A l’occasion de la fin des Jeux Olympiques d’hiver de 2014 à Sochi, le New York Times a voulu mettre en avant des performances d’athlètes en proposant un montage des sauts et trajectoires image par image. Un rendu qui permet de comprendre la complexité des prouesses techniques exécutées à découvrir dans la suite.

Basée à Londres, la photographe Jo Metson Scott nous propose avec sa série And Then de réinventer la forêt, et d’en faire un terrain de jeu, à l’image des cabanes d’enfants. Des clichés d’une grande sensibilité, jouant avec talent sur les formes et les éléments pour nous dévoiler un monde feutré et surréaliste.
Le photographe canadien Benoît Paillé, après plusieurs séries sur Fubiz, nous propose de découvrir des clichés réalisés près de chez lui pendant des ballades de nuit, cherchant à réinterpréter son environnement. Des clichés au rendu étranges, jouant sur les couleurs pour donner une impression de peintures.

Après avoir déjà pu parler de son travail sur Fubiz en 2013, le photographe Lukas Furlan présente sa dernière série intitulée Into The Wild. Réalisée dans des conditions extrêmes en cherchant à s’isoler pendant 2 jours dans la nature, ces clichés d’une grande beauté nous offre des clichés de paysages incroyables.
Coup de cœur pour la série « Less is More », le nom de cette jolie collection de photographies de l’irlandais Zoltan Bekefy. Des clichés en noir et blanc parfaitement exécutés, jouant avec talent sur les contrastes, apportant ainsi une touche mystérieuse aux images. Le photographe Denis Budkov a réalisé une série d’images d’une grande beauté lors d’une expédition auprès du complexe volcanique Plosky Tolbatchik. Situé dans la péninsule de Kamachatka en Russie, ce lieu magnifique est ici mis en valeurs par des clichés incroyables à découvrir dans la suite.
Ivan Cash a eu l’excellente idée de lancer une série de vidéos ‘Last Photo’ tournées lors de ses voyages durant lesquels ils demandent à des inconnus croisés au hasard leur dernière photo sur leur téléphone. Une initiative sympathique à travers notamment une vidéo tournée à New York, Los Angeles et San Francisco.
Chaque année, le jury de Travel Photographer of the Year décerne différents prix pour célébrer les plus beaux clichés. Pour l’année 2013, c’est Timothy Allen qui a décroché le titre de Photographer of The Year 2013.
